Fried Chicken is subpar.

I really like Acme. The burgers are big and flame broiled like you'd expect from an outdoor BBQ. Love that taste!...the chipotle mayo is subtle, a little smokey flavored and just a hint of spice. Love the cornbread they give you too. Had an experience or two where it was better then other times, though....Collard Greens are great, really nice heat to them.

I searched for a place that had fried okra ( I had a craving) the grandmas fried okra sounded wonderful! I usually order from seamless 3-4 times a week. This was the worst restaurant I have ordered. Everything seemed like it had been cooked in the morning and left out all day. Just dont think too highly of a restaurant who cares that little about their returning customers. So much for repeat business :-(

The corn fritters are bland and the chicken fried steak comes soft and soggy. Chicken tenders are okay (it's kinda hard to screw up chicken tenders), but dry, and with no sauce included. Not really worth the money, in my opinion.

This place is always great! Their buffalo sauce is perfect. Their portions are huge!

Not bad really. I like their poboys. Sometimes hit or miss with quality but I like getting a poboy with side of redbeans and rice for $1. Lots of food. Typically save the red beans and rice as a seperate meal the next night.

Acme serves the best meatloaf I have ever had. Although some things on the menu are hit or miss, the things that are good are very good. I can eat the sweet potato fries all day (large chunks of baked sweet potatoes dusted with cinnamon and butter).

Have eaten there previously and liked it but the food seemed "heavier" now. Maybe my tastes have changed. Not for those on a light diet. If you aren't worried about that and are starving it's great. They give you a ton of food and you'll be full in no time. Tastes good too. Weight watchers order from someplace else.

Catfish was great. Don't get the jambalaya.

I was having a craving for some comforting southern food when I placed this order with ACME. I've been wanting to try the gumbo but since it was 14 dollars for lunch I decided to try out the red beans and rice instead. It was completely flavorless and disappointing. You're better off going to Popeyes for red beans and rice. Guess I won't be trying their gumbo afterall.
